INSTALLATION -

Plug one end of coiled cord to the jack of handset and the other end to the jack of the base set. Plug one end of flat cord to the tel-line jack of the phone and the other end to the phone jack on your wall. Open the battery compartment cover, install 3 AA batteries (not included) Connect the 9V adapter to the DC jack of the unit

Note: 1 You do not need to have batteries in the phone if you are using the phone’s AC adapter. Additionally, you do not need to use the phone’s AC adapter if you are using batteries. However, we recommend that you use both to insure against any potential memory loss in case of any sort of accident or power outage.

2 The AC adapter was included but the batteries were not included with the unit. 3 If the phone is not connected to the AC adapter, and is not running on batteries, then you will not be able to use the Caller ID features, nor will you be able to view the LCD screen, as it will not have power. You should be able to dial out and receive phone calls, however.

SETTING MODE After installing the batteries, the phone will automatically enter the Settings Mode, where you can select the language In normal operation, press and hold the [DEL/SET] key for 3 seconds in order to enter the Setting Mode. Note: If the phone is left idle for seven or eight seconds it will automatically exit setting mode. To get back, hold down the [DEL/SET] key for 3 seconds then toggle through all the prior settings to get back to the setting you were on. In the Setting Mode you will be able to choose suitable options for the language, the LCD contrast, the real time calendar, long distance access, the parallel telephone function, remote control function, voice reporting function and voice reporting type. You can press the [DEL/SET] key to toggle through which option you would like to adjust, and you can use the up and down arrow keys to change settings. When you are satisfied with the settings selected, press the [DEL/SET] one more time to enter your setting. If too much time passes before any buttons are pushed, your telephone will automatically leave Setting Mode. Note: Please be sure the telephone lines are properly connected and batteries are installed before entering Setting Mode. 1. Setting Language - After installing the batteries, the telephone will indicate to the user to select the language with “ENGLISH” displaying on LCD - Press the up or down arrow keys to select wanted language among ENGLISH, FRANCAIS (French), ESPANOL (Spanish), PORLUGUES (Portuguese), POLISH (Polish), SVENSKA (Swedish), DEUTSCH (Germany), NEDERLANDS (Holland), TURKCE (Turkish), ITALIANO (Italian) - Press [BOOK] key or speakerphone button to confirm and exit Settings Mode or: - Press [DEL/SET] key to confirm and to move on to the next setting you wish to change…..LCD CONTRAST 2. Setting the LCD Contrast - When the LCD contrast level is displaying on the LCD, press the up or down arrow keys to select the right level
