AIRWELL-FEDDERS LIMITED WARRANTY FOR AIRWELL-FEDDERS NORTH AMERICA, INC. DUCTLESS SPLIT PRODUCTS TWO-YEAR LIMITED PARTS WARRANTY Airwell-Fedders North America warrants, to the original homeowner at the first residential installation site, that this product will be free from defects in material and workmanship, for a period of two (2) years from the documented installation date, or thirty (30) months from the manufacture date, if the installation date cannot be documented. This warranty is limited to the exchange or repair of a defective part. FIVE-YEAR LIMITED SEALED SYSTEM WARRANTY Airwell-Fedders North America warrants, to the original homeowner at the first residential installation site, that this product will be free from defects in material and workmanship, for a period of five (5) years from the documented installation date, or sixty-six (66) months from the manufacture date, if the installation date cannot be documented. Sealed system components include the evaporator, condenser, compressor, and internal connecting tubing. NON-RESIDENTIAL INSTALLATIONS • Limited one (1) year parts warranty from date of installation. • Limited two (2) year sealed system warranty from date of installation. • Normal warranty restrictions apply. WARRANTY LIMITATIONS • Limited Warranty does not include allowances for freight, labor, or travel expense connected with the installation of parts, so furnished in this Limited Warranty or for field repair, or servicing of the equipment. • Begins at date of original documented installation. If proof of installation can not be verified, then warranty is good for the warranty periods stated, measured from the date of manufacture plus six (6) months. • The installation date of a unit is the day the installation is complete and the unit is ready to operate. In the case of new construction installation, the installation date is the earlier of (1) when the unit is placed into operation or (2) when the original homeowner takes possession of the property where the unit is installed. • Replacement parts are warranted only for the balance of the original warranty period. • Under no circumstance does this warranty provide for replacing a unit. • Applies only to original installation and normal use and service within the 48 contiguous United States, District of Columbia and Canada. • Applies only to service performed by a qualified HVAC servicer. • All warranty claims must be submitted to Airwell-Fedders in writing by the servicing contractor, no more than sixty (60) days after the failure of the part. No warranty claim will be considered after the expiration of the warranty, plus three (3) months.

WARRANTY IS VOID IF • Serial plate is defaced • Product has defect or damage due to product alteration, connection to an improper electrical supply, shipping and handling, fire, flood, lightning or other conditions beyond the control of Airwell-Fedders • Product is not installed or repaired by a qualified contractor, meeting applicable building codes and according to Fedders’ instructions and specifications • Product is not operated or regularly maintained in accordance with Fedders’ operation and maintenance instructions • Product is operated in a corrosive environment containing concentrations of corrosive agents causing deterioration of metal components • Compressor-bearing equipment is operated at a temperature below 41 degrees Fahrenheit (5 degrees Celsius) • If a governmental authority required inspection of the contractor’s finished installation, and this inspection did not occur ENTIRE WARRANTY WARRANTIES CONTAINED IN THIS DOCUMENT ARE IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EITHER EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED. THIS WARRANTY SUPERSEDES ANY PRIOR, CONTRARY, OR ADDITIONAL REPRESENTATIONS, WHETHER ORAL OR WRITTEN.
