Utilisation How to Use This product is for household use only. Blender Jar Assembly 1. Before first use, wash all parts except the unit base. The jar, base assembly, gasket and collar are already assembled into the jar base. Disassemble to wash. Once all pieces have been cleaned, reassemble. Place the blade assembly in the collar and place the gasket over the blade assembly. Holding the jar right-side up, thread the collar on the bottom of the jar and turn it counterclockwise until tight (A). A 2. Place the assembled jar onto the unit base. jar is now secure. Do not try to twist jar onto unit base. HOW TO USE 1. Plug the cord into a standard electrical outlet. Unit is in "Off" mode when unplugged. 2. Place the food to be blended into the jar and put the lid on the jar before blending. Be sure the cap is in place. When crushing ice or hard foods, keep one hand on the lid. 3. Select the appropriate speed setting for your task: Puree (1), Whip (2), Mix (3), Grate (4) or Blend (5). Press the "Off" button when finished. 4.Use the Pulse button for a few seconds, then release for quick or delicate blending tasks (B). For best results when crushing ice, use the ice crush button. To activate, push the ice crush button; to stop crushing, release the button. B Important Operating Tips: • As a safety feature, the unit automatically shuts off if you keep any button pressed continuously. • Remember to operate one button at a time. • If unit runs continuously for 2 minutes, it will shut off. LED buttons blink. • If the unit stops functioning, unplug, wait 30 seconds and plug in again 5. If you want to add ingredients while the blender is on, remove the cap and place through the lid opening. 6. When finished blending, press the "Off" button. 7. To remove the jar, lift it from the unit base. Remove the lid before pouring. Blending Tips and Techniques • Cut food into small pieces, about 2 in. (5 cm) before adding to the blender. To chop, grate or prepare fruit smoothies using fresh or frozen fruit, cut foods into 3/4 in. (2 cm.) pieces. • For best circulation of foods that are to be blended with some liquid, pour the liquid into the jar first, then add solids. • Some of the tasks that cannot be performed efficiently with a blender are: beating egg whites, whipping cream, mashing potatoes, grinding meats, mixing dough, and extracting juices from fruits and vegetables. • The following items should never be placed in the unit as they may cause damage: bones, large pieces of solid frozen foods, or tough foods such as turnips. • To crush ice, add up to 6 ice cubes. Hold one hand firmly on the lid; pulse the ice crush button. If more ice is needed, remove the cap and add cubes one by one through the hole in the lid.
